Rafael García

Rafael Garcia is a Full Professor at the University of Girona (UdG), where he is the director of the Computer Vision and Robotics Institute (VICOROB). His research activity focuses primarily on underwater robotics, 3D reconstruction, and image classification through the design of Deep Learning architectures.

Prof. Garcia has published three books, 80 articles in scientific journals, and has presented over 100 papers at international conferences. He has led more than 20 international research projects, most of them funded by EU programs, but has also developed solutions for the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) in the U.S.
